The Whitby & District Lions Beer Festival 2011 will this year raise money for a very worthy cause that saves many lives in the region the Air Ambulances. The festival will have over 30 specially selected unique high quality beers and ciders which have been brewed either locally or regionally.
There will also be a fine selection of locally produced food available to enjoy along with the beer and cider. On entry each person will receive a commemorative glass tankard and souvenir programme. You can also vote for the best recommended draft beer or cider at the end of the festival
This will be an event that is for all the family, you will be able to sample the finest quality hand pulled draft beers and home made cider. Come along and chat to friends and family while enjoying the excellent beer but also the splendid area of West Cliff where the Met is located.
The Met is located on Whitby’s West Cliff it is excellently located and is in easy walking distance of the town centre. Free on street parking is available along Argyle Road and Tuckers Filed close to the venue. There is also a regular bus service to the West Cliff area operating from the town centre.
All proceeds will go to the Air Ambulances (The Yorkshire Air Ambulance and The Great North Air Ambulance).
Families and children are welcome.
