Borough House Self Catering in Whitby
Borough house was built in approx 1620 and situated in a small, quaint alley in the centre of the old town only steps from the beach and all the local amenities. Many of the original features are still visible with exposed beams, oak floors, sash and mullioned windows and an open file. A spacious house leaves room for a family of seven and ideal for couples or friends.
The ground floor has a kitchen with a range cooker, dish washer, microwave and washing machine. The dining area has a large table to sit 8. The kitchen/dining area has a sofa and a wood burning stove. The first floor has the lounge with an open fire and a twin room off the hallway.
The second floor has the luxury bathroom and main bedroom. The main bedroom has a double bed, sofa, TV, ensuite bathroom and walk in wardrobe and lastly the third floor has a small separate bedroom with twin beds The historic town of Whitby, currently a fishing port and popular tourist destination, has had a diverse and influential past. Situated on the North East coast of England, in the district of North Yorkshire, Whitby snugly straddles the mouth of the river Esk facing out into the inimitable North sea.
A rugged coastline with a backdrop of the North York Moors National Park is the setting for the Yorkshire Coast’s resorts and fishing villages. This is a coastline of high cliffs and rocky shores, rich in flowers and wildlife. Follow the cliff top path for over 30 miles along the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast or visit one of the coastal resorts or villages.
