We became the proud owners of the Corra Lynn in 2014, since then we have carved out an enviable reputation for offering a warm welcome, comfortable rooms and fantastic food.
Located on West Cliff, we are a 5-minute walk from both the town and the beach. We have six en suite rooms including kingsize, twin and family. All rooms have allocated off street parking, a real bonus for Whitby.
We appreciate the added organisation of travelling with small children so we look to be properly child friendly. We can supply travel cot, high chair, kids cutlery, and toys. (We have them in abundance).

Our the most frequently asked question, “How do you cook such lovely poached eggs” Forget all the old rubbish about vinegar in the water, swirling the water so there is a vortex in it or fancy egg poachers. Tried them all. The key is good quality very fresh free range eggs.
You can tell an egg is fresh when you break them as the white should hold nice and firm. Crack your eggs into a small dish, bring a small pan of water to the boil, add your eggs gently into the water then leave for just over two minutes.
If the water starts to boil vigorously, turn it down and if the rest of your breakfast isn’t ready when the eggs are, turn the heat off and they will be fine for up to a minute.
Best advice, look out for a local farm or small holding that sells proper fresh eggs, if you can see chickens running around, it’s a good sign. Or come and try ours.
