Follow The Seagulls is a two-day epic walking adventure around Whitby and across the North York Moors.
50 miles. Two days. On foot. Do something big to help people with a brain tumour. 17 & 18 April 2021. Whitby and North York Moors.
Starting and finishing in the charming coastal town of Whitby, Follow The Seagulls is a two-day walk to raise funds for Braintrust, the brain tumour charity.
Stunning Mooorland Scenery
On the stunning fifty mile route, you’ll see breath-taking scenery across the rugged moorland of the North York Moors National Park as you trek towards the finish line.
This self-supported walk will pit you against physical and mental challenges like no other. But you will come out the other side with a heroic sense of achievement.
A self supported adventure
Annotated maps are provided for participants for this self supported hiking adventure. Follow The Seagulls is an organised event so it is possible to walk in a group or to attempt the terrain solo.
Even so, there are trails to follow and opportunities to meet up along the way as you step out into the bracing moorland country of North Yorkshire.
Those successfully completing the course will have achieved an amazing accomplishment. Follow The Seagulls is your chance to do something truly challenging to help people living with a brain tumour.
“For someone considering this challenge in the future I’d say absolutely do it. Not only was it an epic physical and mental challenge, it was also one of the most humbling and rewarding adventures I’ve been on. It was an incredible achievement and opportunity to truly see the best in people; sharing stories, support and collective goals. As the aches begin to fade, my gratitude for this amazing charity, and the people it has connected me with, just grows stronger and stronger.” – Sammy (2019)
