All Aboard the Halloween Train for a Spooktacular Journey on the North York Moors Railway

In recent years, Halloween has become increasingly popular. Kids love it and a unique way for the whole family to enjoy it is by boarding the Halloween Train on the North York Moors Railway (NYMR).

It won’t just be an ordinary trip and there are a few surprises planned as you travel along the Heritage Line.

Entertainment includes some spooky story-tellers and their ghostly stories. To coin a phrase, it will be a night of ‘’steam and scream.’’

Everyone will be encouraged to sing the songs, fairly scary ones in themselves. There will be a little magic; the whole experience is sure to be very entertaining and maybe a little scary in a nice way.

Wendy the Witch will be there and Vinnie the Vegan Vampire will be leading the singing. The pirate captain’s tales will entertain and perhaps have you on the edge of your seat.

Every child will receive a special gift when they take the ride and it goes without saying at NYMR, we expect to see you all in your best Halloween costumes.

The Train leaves from Pickering on a route to Levisham with Tricks and Treats all the way! The evening journey lasts around an hour.

Everyone will get a Halloween Activity Bag with Crayons, an Activity Sheet, Selfie Props and a Frame as well as a Spooky Packed Lunch which you collect at Pickering before you leave.

The first spooky service will operate on the 27th then every evening until the 31st, departing at 6.45pm. The cost for adults and children is £20 a head which includes a packed lunch.
