Roraima House B&B Staithes

Roraima House dates back to the 1890s. It was built by a sea captain called John Trattles and named after his steamship the SS Roraima. The inn is a large three-storey Victorian building that sits at the top end of the village of Staithes. It is perfect for guests that want to be on higher ground to enjoy great views of the village. The house offers free parking to B&B guests that is conveniently placed at the rear of the building. The front of the house features a private enclosed garden where guests are welcome to enjoys drinks and meals outdoors should the weather permit it.

The accommodation within the house is spread over it’s three floors. The dining room is located on the ground floor along with most of the impressive interior features that will be loved by anyone who appreciates elegant victorian design. The dining room has a great open fire which can make all the difference to meals in after a hard days exploring! The entrance features adorable victorian style tiles that line the floor as well as tall stained glass windows. The hallway leads to an original large pitch pine staircase that takes guests up to the first and second floors alongside more traditional stained glass windows.

The two guest rooms on the first floor feature en-suits and great views across to the sea. The top floor features the remaining guest rooms with a shared bathroom, lounge and kitchen facility. These make excellent places to stay for those that want the feel of a traditional Staithes B&B with the convenience of a kitchen area. Wi-Fi is available throughout the inn so you don’t need to worry about staying connected with all your favourite devices during your stay.

The breakfast is served with a buffet style continental, along with a choice of freshly prepared warm favourites like locally sourced sausage & bacon accompanied by mushrooms, tomatoes, hash brown, free range eggs & baked beans. On arrival, guests are invited to enjoy a spot of afternoon tea with home-made cake and tea or coffee available in the entrance area.
