The Willows is a charming traditional guest house in Whitby’s Bagdale area, conveniently located across from the delightful Pannett Park and the Whitby Museum. With easy access to Whitby Train Station for those travelling by train and for those wishing to venture out on local services to nearby attractions including the North York Moors. The Steam locomotives of the North York Moors Railway run a service from Whitby to Pickering that stops off at Goathland, made famous by the hit TV series, Heartbeat – a fantastic day out not to be missed. After all that excitement, why not unwind with a slice of Debs delicious homemade cake and a nice cup of tea?

The rooms at The Willows
The Willows is a large period building offering seven clean, spacious en suite rooms. You can choose from double, super king size/twin and the ground floor deluxe room. Each of the rooms benefits from the usual tea and coffee making facilities including hot chocolate and individually wrapped biscuits for all guests. The rooms have digital television with one film channel for cosy nights in. As you would expect all rooms have free WiFi access, full central heating and super fluffy towels for your pleasure and comfort.
The rooms have large comfortable double beds and are tastefully decorated to a very high standard. The large rooms have comfy chairs with cushions for relaxing in after a day sight-seeing around Whitby’s old town. The rooms are decorated and furnished with antique pieces and artistic flourishes. The rooms at the Willows are spread across three floors, there are stairs but there is lift access for your convenience to all floors; save your legs after a long day walking around the sights of Whitby’s excellent selection of bars, restaurants and attractions.
All of the rooms are tastefully decorated to a high standard and should you wish could be prepared in advance to a theme for special occasions such as anniversaries and birthdays. If you require wine, flowers or chocolates upon arrival this can be arranged for a small additional charge – a great way to surprise that important person in your life!

The breakfast is a home cooked feast including locally sourced produce where possible and Debs delicious homemade preserves and jams – a sweet treat not to be missed! Guests can choose from a traditional full English breakfast with local sausage, bacon, eggs (cooked as you want), black pudding, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast. There is a selection of cereals to choose from. And, of course, famous Whitby Kippers are a must. There is a choice of fresh juice, tea, coffee or hot chocolate to accompany your meal. All enjoyed in the spacious dining room with its lovely period fireplace – a great way to start your day exploring the best of Whitby.
“Comfortable stay in a tremendous property just a simple 5-minute walk to the harbour. Private car parking is just across the road (parking a big problem in Whitby). Great breakfast, all in all, a very pleasant stay and highly recommended, no complaints .”
