Fancy waking up to Whitby’s breathtaking sea views, with the beach, shops, restaurants and attractions all within easy reach?

Riviera Guesthouse is a friendly, family-run bed and breakfast on Whitby’s popular West Cliff. It has a prime seafront position, with panoramic views across the North Sea, towards Whitby Harbour entrance and along the coast to Sandsend.

Rooms are individually designed, with a choice of Four Poster Superior King, King Size, Deluxe Double, Standard Double, Family, Twin and Single bedrooms. Most rooms are sea-facing, while some are rear-facing, so guests should check the room type before booking.

Each room includes complimentary WiFi, an LCD TV, a well-stocked refreshment tray, hairdryer and ironing board. Irons are available on request. Bathrooms include fresh white towels and complimentary shampoo, conditioner and shower gel.

The breakfast menu includes cooked and continental options, including full English breakfast, vegetarian breakfast, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, Whitby kippers, breakfast sandwiches, cereals, fruit, toast, juices, tea and coffee. Guests with dietary requirements should mention these when booking so the team can do their best to help.

Accessibility

Please note that Riviera Guesthouse does not have a lift and there are quite a lot of stairs throughout the property. Some rooms are on the upper floors, so the accommodation may not be suitable for all guests. Lower-floor rooms can be requested directly with the guesthouse, subject to availability.

Parking

Pay-and-display parking is available along the seafront outside the guesthouse from 1st March to 31st October. Outside these dates, the machines are out of service and parking is free. There are also disc zones surrounding the guesthouse. Scratchcard permits for the disc zones can be obtained from the guesthouse on arrival. Guests should confirm current parking arrangements directly before travelling.
