Middlewood is located just 5.5 miles from Whitby in Robin Hood’s Bay. It is just 5 minutes from shops and pubs, 10 minutes from the beach and a 10-minute drive from Whitby. It is also near the North York Moors National Park and has panoramic country and moorland views.

It features 2 washrooms, a baby changing room, a bath, 2 dishwashing areas, a children’s play area, coastal views, gas stoves, and BBQs. All Middlewood camping pods are in a gypsy caravan style which has a dome shaping to provide a spacious interior.

Pods include double glazing with roller blinds, sheep’s wool insulation, natural light and ventilation, lockable doors, beds with mattresses, internal lighting, heaters, a covered porch with seating, under porch storage, external lighting and a picnic table. Find more information here.

Situated in Fylingdales just 8.5 miles from Whitby this site has an AA4 Pennant rating and thoroughly deserves it. Set in a wooded valley and heather covered moorland with a man-made lake and woodland walk it is stunning. Amenities here include a children’s play area, reception, toilet/shower blocks, a laundry room, a hot/cold drinks machine, 24-hour CCTV, Wifi, family washrooms, free hot water, and a shop.

All camping pods at this site are insulated and heated and all are wigwam styled. Four of the twelve sleep four and come with ensuite facilities, a TV, table and chairs, a heater, a fridge, a microwave, a kettle/toaster, a bed with mattress, a decking area and a picnic bench Eight of the twelve sleep five and come with a fridge, a microwave a kettle/toaster a heater, a picnic bench, seating and bed with mattress. Located just a mile from Runswick Bay beach and Staithes, and only 7 miles from Whitby. Serenity Camping is an easy, peaceful and relaxed place to enjoy a camping experience. It makes a great base to explore North Yorkshire or just enjoy the stunning views from your glamping home. The site also features a village location, here there is a butcher, two pubs, a fish and chip shop and a bistro. There is a supermarket just a mile away for those last minute essentials. They feature showers in a communal washroom facility.

They have a Shepherd’s Hut, Shepherds Crook and Potting shed that are all available to hire if you are looking for anything from a 2 night stay to a longer holiday. They all can accommodate 2 people, have seating areas, and they are pet friendly. The Shepherds Crook and Potting Shed are set in private enclosures, which is ideal for dogs off leads. Only a 2 minute drive from Whitby, Broomfields Holidays is a perfect place to enjoy glamping and explore the town of Whitby and the surrounding area. It is close to a Sainsbury’s and Botham’s bakery shop which is great for those last minute essentials. Part of the farm lies within the North York Moors National Park making the location ideal for walking and cycling along the Cinder Path to Robin Hoods Bay. There are 4 separate shower rooms, a washing machine and a shared fridge available here. 

They have 10 pods, each pod features a TV, microwave, kettle, small heater and a separate bedroom with a double and a single bed. There is also a sofa bed in the living room which means that 4 can sleep comfortably. They provide two price options, for guests who bring their own sleeping bags and other essentials the pods are £45 per pod per night. Onto the gorgeous Coast and Camplight which is located between Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay in the North York Moors National Park. The site shows off the most stunning views of Whitby. Coast and Camplight is a perfect choice if you need some time out or even a digital detox, each of the camps is secluded from the others with nothing to see but the meadows, woods, and starry skies. Partridge Nest Farm is located just 5 miles from Whitby. This site is surrounded by beautiful countryside including great views of the Esk Valley. You may also see the Grosmont to Whitby steam train if you holiday here. It is possible to see from Bill’s meadow, a 1 acre field that is solely for the holidaymaker’s use.

Amenities here include 2 wetrooms, free hot water, a washing up area, a microwave, a freezer for ice packs, kit rental airbeds, coolboxes, and 2 ring gas stoves. The pods include a picnic table, 3 x power sockets, 2 x USB charging sockets, blackout blinds and door curtains, porch lights, a BBQ stand, lighting/heating, a kettle, and a lockable door, double glazing and a sofa bed.

There are six camping pods available on this site all named after the wildlife you may see there. Partridge, lapwing and quail pods all have their own WCs. Pheasant, grouse and barn owl do not.
