Trillo's of Whitby has been crafting ice cream for over a century. The Trillo family, hailing from Italy, brought their cherished ice cream recipes when they relocated to Whitby. In 2005, David Stevenson, a local farmer, and his business partner Basil acquired the company. Still, they retained the Trillo's name to honour its local heritage and continue to produce ice cream in the quaint Whitby factory.
Their passion for British farming is evident in the locally sourced milk and cream from North Yorkshire farms, which forms the base for their luxurious, award-winning ice cream. Trillo's also takes pride in employing people from the local community, some of whom have been with the company for several years.
Thanks to the expertise and creativity of its experienced team, Trillo's has refined their recipe over the years, resulting in national recognition and numerous awards

Beacon Farm, located just outside Whitby, makes all its ice cream on-site, using only the finest ingredients. The ice cream is made with fresh whole milk, double cream, and natural fruit pastes, which provide an unmatched mouth-watering taste. With no artificial flavours or colourings, their ice cream is perfect for those who value natural ingredients.
Beacon Farm offers a wide variety of flavours that are constantly being updated. Currently, they make over 20 different flavours of ice cream, including sorbets. They produce enough ice cream in the summer to serve over 11,000 cones daily!
Ice cream parlour and tea room
Located within an authentic barn conversion, the ice cream parlour and tea rooms are ideal for a delicious ice cream, snack or light meal. The menu boasts freshly made sandwiches, homemade soup, and paninis, among other options, and for those who require a hearty breakfast, a full English breakfast is also available. Guests can also take advantage of the free outdoor play area and woodland nature trail, making it an enjoyable experience for the whole family.

Clara's
Clara's is a delightful takeaway spot on West Cliff with panoramic views in Whitby. Specialising in takeaway coffee and ice cream, it offers an assortment of hot/cold drinks, milkshakes, ice cream, and snacks. What sets Clara's apart is its outstanding ice cream.
During our last visit, we ordered a honeycomb milkshake, which tasted out of this world. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and visiting the place is always a pleasure. Plenty of seating overlooking the sea makes it a lovely spot to sit and watch the sunset.
Flavours Ice Cream Bar
Flavours Ice Cream Bar is situated in the Pleasureland Arcades on Pier Road. It is a place to satisfy your sweet cravings after a fun arcade day. The menu boasts various treats, including 32 delicious scooped ice cream flavours, whippy ice cream, ice cream sundaes, waffles, doughnuts, milkshakes, crepes, and slush.
Daisy Bailey's Ice Cream Parlour
Daisy Bailey's Ice Cream Parlour in Whitby is a lovely dessert shop that serves delicious ice cream from Beacon Farm and Whippy. The parlour offers various classic and unique ice cream flavours, from traditional chocolate and vanilla to more exciting choices like bubblegum and kinder bueno.

K & K’s, North Terrace
K+K's Seaside Shack is located right on the cliff-top and has a paddling pool just behind it. It has an incredible hot food counter, and their cheeseburger is so good! They offer delicious Beacon Farm ice cream, Mr. Whippy, milkshakes, and snacks. We love the convenience of K+K's large variety of everything you need for a day at the beach or by the pool.
