Looking for a Goathland B&B as a base to explore the North Yorkshire Moors? Here are 9 bed and breakfasts in Goathland for you to consider.
Goathland, known historically as ‘Good Land’, or ‘Godelandia’ which I think is just marvellous, is a beautiful moorland village situated in the heart of the North York Moors National Park offering easy access to both Whitby and York. Goathland is a popular place for walkers, train enthusiasts and Harry Potter Fans alike, but you don’t have to be one of these to enjoy a stay in this bracing moorland village.
The North York Moors Railway, which runs a steam service from Pickering to Whitby, passes through the village, stopping for passengers at Goathland Station. Harry Potter fans will know the train station from the early films as ‘Hogsmeade’, the destination of the ‘Hogwarts Express’.
