1. Malton Food Market
Malton Monthly Food Market takes place every second Saturday of the month. It hosts specialist food stalls, street food, and music sets against St Michael’s Church in Malton’s central marketplace. The market trades from 9 am to 3 pm, is free to enter, and has 2 hours of free car parking nearby.

2. Harrogate Farmer’s Market
Harrogate Farmer’s Market is the longest-running monthly market in Harrogate. It is held on the second Thursday of every month from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It offers a wide range of local fresh produce, including fruits, vegetables, bread, meat, eggs, biscuits, and cakes. Additionally, visitors can find local artisan goods such as art, jewellery, gifts, and blankets. The market is worth a visit, featuring both regular and guest stalls each month.
3. Goathland Farmer’s Market
Goathland Hut holds a monthly farmer’s market to support producers and traders by offering them a direct platform to sell their goods to residents and visitors. The market prioritises local food and drink, with at least 70% of the stalls dedicated to these items, while the remaining stalls feature non-food items. The market occurs on the third Saturday of each month, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., unless it coincides with other significant village events.
4. Hovingham Village Market
The Hovingham Village Market has a long history, dating back to around 1256, and the current iteration has been running since October 2009. Located approximately 18 miles north-east of York and 8 miles between the market towns of Malton and Helmsley, the market is an essential fixture in the area. Village volunteers organise it, and it takes place on the first Saturday of each month from February to December, with an additional special Christmas Market on the third Saturday of December. The market aims to support local producers and foster a sense of community.
5. This Little Piggie, Pickering
This Little Piggie is a new outdoor artisan market in Pickering. It occurs on the final Saturday of each month from March to November 2024 and is located outside Bramble Berry Artisan Fairs, which is situated in Pickering Memorial Hall.
6. Saltburn Farmer’s Market
Social enterprise Food First organises the Saltburn Farmer’s Market, which occurs on the second Saturday of every month from February to December, except for August.
The market, located outside Sainsbury’s on Milton Street, runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. With approximately 35 stalls featuring a mix of regular traders and occasional special guests, visitors can explore and purchase the finest local food, drinks, and artwork. Visitors appreciate the family-friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to buy exceptional local produce that may be hard to find elsewhere.
