The former Scarborough to Whitby rail path links all the bridleways together, providing miles of traffic-free riding that gradually ascends to Ravenscar and a beautiful headland with incredible bay views.
Remember that all riding is subject to weather, ground conditions, and availability. Riding hats to current standards and suitable footwear must be worn, and a riding registration form must be filled out before riding. Children over six years old are welcome.

Boltby Trekking & Trail Riding Centre
This trekking centre is located on a working farm in the village of Boltby. You can access various bridleways, forestry, hills, and moorland trails from here, offering stunning scenery and great riding experiences.
They cater to riders of all levels, from beginners to experienced. They can cater to individuals and groups with horses and ponies ranging from 12hh to 16hh. The rides range from 30-minute mini-rides for children to one and two-hour treks. During the summer, they also run longer trails, full-day trails, pub trails, and picnic rides.
For the more experienced riders, they offer two-day trail rides between May and September, with bed and breakfast stops at farmhouses en route. All of the rides are accompanied by experienced trekking and trail riding guides. Their rider weight limit is 14 stone / 196lbs / 89kg.

Bilsdale Riding Centre
Bilsdale Riding Centre offer a variety of hacks ranging from 1 hour to a full day, taking you through the moors, woodland, and quiet lanes of the western side of the North York Moors National Park. The horses at the centre are all home-bred and schooled, catering to riders of all levels. This stable is located on the old Roman Road, just one mile west of Bridlington on the East Yorkshire Coast. Their team of friendly and reliable horses and ponies are perfect for riders of all ages and skill levels. They offer a variety of treks through beautiful woodland, catering to beginners and advanced riders.
Experienced riders lead all treks; if you’re nervous, they can provide guidance. Services include 1 and 2-hour treks, riding lessons, and a young riders club. They are open six days a week, all year round, and provide safety hats for everyone.
